FENG SHUI

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui (风水) is an ancient Chinese practice that focuses on the arrangement and orientation of your environment to create harmony and balance. The term “Feng Shui” translates to “wind and water,” symbolizing the flow of energy (or “Qi”) through the natural world. The practice is based on the belief that the arrangement of physical spaces can influence the well-being, prosperity, and health of the people who live or work in them.

At its core, Feng Shui seeks to align the energy in your environment with your personal or professional goals, creating spaces that support positive outcomes. It involves assessing factors like the direction a building faces, the placement of furniture, and the use of colors, materials, and shapes to either enhance or block the flow of Qi.

There are many different schools of Feng Shui, each with its own methods and focus. The most well-known system is the Bagua map, which divides your space into nine sections, each corresponding to different areas of life such as wealth, health, relationships, and career. By adjusting the layout and elements in each section, Feng Shui aims to bring about balance and improve the overall energy flow.

Feng Shui is used in homes, offices, gardens, and even in city planning to help foster an environment of prosperity, good health, and peace of mind.
